Johnny Burrell is a lifestyle, advertising and portrait photographer & director, its all people-focussed. Based in the UK but has shot all over the world, working with a wide variety of brands. As a visual storyteller, he believes in capturing authentic moments, with integral personality and truth. This honest approach has given him access to unique people, cultures and locations, whether it be through stills or motion.

Background

Lives in London but born & raised in the East Midlands. Brought up by his Grandparents, growing up on a diet of film-noir matinee classics, 1980’s pop culture (Transformers) and travelling the world. Given his first camera – a 35mm Halina autoflip – at the age of 7 and been shooting ever since. Obsessed with storytelling, Johnny’s photography has a strong emphasis on people with real stories at their heart.

For Johnny, photography is all about the process — connecting with people to bring out their true character. His relaxed, empathetic approach helps him build authentic rapport, creating imagery that feels natural and full of life.
